Turkey roast with apples

Olymel turkey roast with apples


1.25 kg 2 3/4 lb roast turkey breast
500 ml 2 cup unsweetened applesauce
15 ml 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
15 ml 1 tbsp Herbes de Provence
30 ml 2 tbsp soy sauce
30 ml 2 tbsp honey

  • Preheat oven to 165°C (325° F).
  • Put the roast turkey, in its cooking bag, in a large roasting pan. Pour in enough water to cover. Perforate the top of the bag to let steam escape.
  • Cover and cook in the oven for 4 hours, until an internal temperature of 71°C (160° F) is reached.
  • In a bowl, mix the applesaucewith the mustard, herbs, soy sauce and honey. And generous amounts of pepper.
  • When the roast is ready, remove the roasting pan from the oven and let it rest for 45 minutes at room temperature.
  • Cut the roast into slices and serve accompanied by the applesauce.
