Boost your orders with dishes that are easy to cook or reheat

With so many people staying home these days, you can help your clients make the most out of every trip out by offering cooked or raw dishes they can reheat or cook themselves. It can be a very attractive alternative for them to have food delivered they can eat later, or should they want to stock up on a few meals in advance.

With dishes that can be cooked or reheated at home, you lower the risk of a dish losing its flavour or its crunch in transport. Always place the main course, sauce and side dishes in separate containers and include cooking and serving instructions. Obviously you want to keep these steps simple. After all people are trying to avoid cooking!

In this difficult time, when you are working with reduced staff, ready-to-go and reheat (or cook) meals help you save on preparation time and cooking costs. It’s something that can set you apart from the competition, too.

Here are three great meal ideas that’ll tickle your clients’ taste buds and simplify their lives.  You can offer them as individual portions or family size with the sides of your choice.

1. Chicken wings + sauce + crudités

These fully cooked chicken wings reheat in fifteen minutes in a regular oven. Add your signature sauce and crudités for a real crowd pleasing treat!

2.  General Tao Chicken + sauce + rice + vegetables

These raw chicken pieces in a light tempura batter cook in just 20 minutes in the oven. Meanwhile, clients can reheat your secret sauce, basmati or jasmine rice and bok choy or broccoli.

3. Chicken breasts + vegetables

Offer these delicious fully cooked, ready to reheat chicken breasts with raw mixed vegetables like zucchini, onions, peppers and cherry tomatoes clients can simply stir fry with fresh herbs. You can also suggest placing the chicken, veggies and herbs on a baking sheet and baking for about 15 minutes.
